Terms of Service

Using Quick Plays means you agree to the points below. They’re short on purpose.
What Quick Plays is
A web app for basketball coaches to design plays, build playbooks, manage rosters, plan practices, and share content with their team. We’re a small project; there is no paid plan today.
Your account
One human per account. Don’t share your sign-in email if you don’t want others to access your data. You’re responsible for what happens under your account.
You can change your email or delete your account at any time from Settings.
Your content
The plays, playbooks, practices, drills, rosters, and notes you create are yours. We don’t claim any ownership over them. We need a non-exclusive licence to host, display, and back them up so the app actually works — that licence ends when you delete the content or your account.
If you publish a play or playbook (the “Share” button), anyone with the link can read it. Don’t publish anything you don’t have the right to share — e.g. copyrighted scouting reports from another organisation, video clips that aren’t yours, photos of minors without consent.
Acceptable use
Don’t do any of this:
- Use the app to harass, threaten, or harm anyone.
- Upload content that’s illegal in your jurisdiction.
- Try to break into other users’ accounts, abuse the API to scrape or stress the service, or attempt to bypass row-level security.
- Resell or rebrand Quick Plays without permission. Self-hosting a fork for your own team is fine; running it as a competing service isn’t.
We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate this. We’ll try to tell you why.
No warranty
Quick Plays is provided as-is. We don’t promise it will be available 100% of the time, free of bugs, or fit for any specific purpose. Use of the app is at your own risk.
That said, we genuinely care about reliability. If something breaks, email [email protected] and we’ll look at it.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Quick Plays and its operators aren’t liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app — including lost data, lost games, or anything your assistant coach did with the shared link. Always export critical data you can’t afford to lose.
Service changes
Features may come and go. If we remove something you were depending on, we’ll try to give notice via the in-app notification bell or an email. We won’t silently delete your stored data without you initiating the deletion.
Changes to these terms
Updates will be reflected here with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes (anything that meaningfully changes what you’ve agreed to) get a heads-up via in-app notification before they take effect.
